MPS students need reliable transportation to get to school on time. Privately contracted school buses are often late or don’t show up at all. This makes it difficult for students to show up to school on time, or at all. Route schedules should ensure there’s adequate time to get students to and from school on time. A GPS tracker would help parents locate where their child’s bus is at any time. MPS can also explore additional opportunities to get high school students MCTS bus passes that are good 7 days a week, so students can stay after school for extra curricular activities or use them to get to apprenticeships or jobs.
