Students Deserve class sizes small enough for individual attention. Smaller class sizes will likely lessen the racial achievement gap, and improve classroom discipline. The elephant in the room, however, is that such a change would require an investment of hundreds of millions of dollars to pay for additional staff and expanding schools that are now overcrowded.
